A word juggler. Communications ideator. Digital creator. This puts you, me - us - in an interesting place.

Emily’s love for storytelling is almost greater than her love for iced lattes - and that's a lot.

With a background in marketing and public relations, Emily is always looking to learn and apply her skills to new projects. While she’s currently circling back to clients as a Senior Account Executive at Edelman, her previous in-house positions developed her writing and project management skills. She became an expert at distilling complicated research into simple, compelling messaging for clinicians and parents alike at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. And, while she was at Battelle, she flexed her technical skills to develop communication plans and documentation for the world’s largest non-profit engineering firm.

Emily spent four years at (The) Ohio State University earning a B.A. in Strategic Communication, a B.S. in Psychology, a minor in Professional Writing, and entirely too many credit hours. As an Oxford comma lover working in an AP style industry, she had some trepidation putting a third comma in the previous sentence.

Because she possesses an incredibly common first name and a German last name that’s too long for most government forms, a lot of people call Emily “Siebs.”

To answer your first question: Yes, Emily is writing her own bio in the third person. I’m like David Blaine, without the levitation. Don’t hold that part against me.
