A word juggler. Communications ideator. Digital creator. This puts you, me - us - in an interesting place.

Emily’s love for storytelling is almost greater than her love for iced lattes - and that's a lot.

With a background in marketing and public relations, Emily is always looking to learn and apply her skills to new projects. While she’s currently an Account Executive on Edelman’s Chicago Health team, her past experience developed her writing and client management skills in the science communication space. She became an expert at distilling complicated research into simple, compelling messaging for clinicians and parents alike at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. And, while she was at Battelle, she flexed her technical skills to develop internal messaging, external communication plans, and documentation for the world’s largest non-profit engineering firm.

Emily graduated from (The) Ohio State University with a B.A. in Strategic Communication, a B.S. in Psychology, a minor in Professional Writing, and entirely too many credit hours. As an Oxford comma lover working in an AP style industry, she also had some trepidation putting a third comma in the previous sentence.

Possessing both the most popular first name from the year 2000 and a German last name that’s too long for most government forms, a lot of people call Emily “Siebs." She would happily get paid in pounds of coffee beans or dark chocolate peanut butter cups from Trader Joe’s.

To answer your first question: Yes, Emily is writing her own bio in the third person. I’m like David Blaine, without the levitation. Don’t hold that part against me.
